FISH CHECK IN “CATCH, SNAP, RELEASE”

The Baffle Creek Family Fishing Festival uses a custom APP which is to be used by all competitors for a "virtual weigh in" of their catch. All fish entered must be taken on rod and reel or hand line only and must be of legal size (if a fish entered is incorrectly identified, measured or not of legal length, we reserve the right to remove that particular fish from the competition App). All fish must be photographed and measured on the official Brag Mat. No other mats will be accepted. Your photos must show the whole fish on the brag mat, with the head at the start of the mat, your photo must also display your current entry card placed in the space provided on the brag mat. "Glory shots" are encouraged and can be added to your App uploads. App instructions will be provided in the entry packs and will also be provided prior to event via email and Facebook.

JUNIOR COMPETITORS FISH CHECK IN

Junior competitors must catch the fish and retrieve the fish to the boat or shore themselves. A parent can help lift the fish into the boat.

FISH CATEGORIES – FINAL PRIZES

At the conclusion of the "allowed fishing time" (12pm Saturday 28th Sep) a compilation of Fish Category Winners will be take place. The “Biggest Fish” Prize will be awarded to the biggest fish caught throughout the week in each category for both Junior and Senior competitors. If by chance there is a tie length, it will be awarded to the first one checked-in. Competitors must present their Entry Card at presentation of prizes.

COMPETITION BOUNDARIES

PRIZES

Prizes and Fish Category presentations will be at the Baffle Creek Community grounds during the Family Fishing Festival on Saturday 28th September 2019, which commences at 12pm. No more than one prize will be awarded in respect of any one fish category caught. If a fish category weigh in is a tie, the prize will be awarded to the first recorded entrant. To be fair to all competitors the maximum wins per competitor is one final Category win for the Fish Category Prize. If the competitor is leading in two separate categories, the competitor will be awarded on the first fish weighed in.

PROMOTIONAL DRAWS

On each Prize Draw the entrant possessing the number announced must present themselves to the announcer with their 2019 Entry Card within two minutes of that prize being announced. All major prize winners will also require formal identification upon presenting themselves to the announcer. All major junior prize winners will be accompanied by a parent or carer with formal identification to confirm winner’s identification. Once a prize has been claimed or a redraw announced that number will be returned to the barrel and another draw will occur immediately.

NOTE: Only FULL FEE paying entrants will be entered into the promotional prize draws.
